How Much Is Too Much? 49% of Parents Share Kids’ Faces Online

In the world of influencer parenting and #MomTok, parents love sharing family moments online. Some even profit off these family moments. A new study shows that 3 in 5 parents post pictures of their children on social media, with 27% having public profiles. While nearly half of parents (49%) reveal their kids’ faces, 1 in 10 have even shared photos of their child in a diaper.

The real concern with parent influencers? Privacy. The study reveals that 81% of parents are worried about online threats, like predators and unauthorized image use. With TikTok fueling viral family content, many parents are starting to question how much is too much. In fact, 60% admit they’re concerned about oversharing, and 35% plan to cut back on family posts in the next year.

As “sharenting” becomes a hot topic, even influencers are changing how they share their children’s lives online—covering faces, limiting posts, and balancing content creation with privacy protection.

Take a look at the full study here for more insights on how these trends are reshaping the world of parent influencers.
