KLONDYKE — Weather conditions continue to hamper efforts to get the Pinnacle fire under control.

High temperatures and low moisture, combined with winds gust as high as 40 miles an hour, having been pushing the fire to the east, threatening the Black Rock Ranch area. That weather pattern is expected to continue for at least the next 24 hours.

The fire is at 34,192 acres as of Monday morning and is at 26-percent containment.

There are 450 personnel assigned to battle the blaze, including five hand crews, four helicopters, 28 engines, 11 water tenders and four dozers.

Residents in the Black Rock Road area, and the Klondyke-Aravaipa corridor remain evacuated from their homes.
