SAFFORD — For the second year in a row, the Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center Auxiliary’s annual Christmas House Boutique will happen at the hospital.

The Christmas Boutique and Bake Sale will take place Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the hospital’s gift shop and boardroom.

Prior the pandemic, the Auxiliary hosted its annual fund-raiser in a local resident’s home donated for the one-day event.

“It’s just too hard to get people to donate their home,” said Virginia Slusher with the Auxiliary. “After Covid, things really changed.”

The Auxiliary is accepting donations of items to be sold at the boutique. Call 928-587-4392 or 928-432-1053 to arrange pick-up.

All money raised is used to purchase equipment for the hospital and, since its inception, the Auxiliary has raised more than $725,000 for equipment purchases.

“That’s why we’re there; to help the hospital out,” said Sheri Jones.

The Auxiliary is also conducting a purse raffle now through Nov. 6. Tickets can be purchased at the Hospital Gift Shop and Saturday’s in front of Thriftee Supermarket, and the winner will receive a purse and everything inside, with one of the four purses containing a $50 bill.

Winners will be drawn during the Christmas House.
