GRAHAM COUNTY — Graham County Health Department is looking for a man who has contact with a rabid bobcat.

On Sunday, April 13, at about 4 p.m., the man told hikers in the Aravaipa Canyon-Turkey Creek area that he had handled a bobcat.

The bobcat was subsequently found and testing revealed it was rabid, so the Health Department is seeking the man to determine if he needs additional treatment. Rabies is fatal if not treated prior to the start of symptoms.

He was with another man and the pair were driving a white Jeep.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Health Department at 928-428-0110 or 928-965-8921.
