MORENCI — Greenlee County voters, and nonresident interested on Greenlee elections, can watch a local candidate forum from the comfort of home.
The forum Saturday, Oct. 10, starting at 5 p.m., will be broadcast live on the Greenlee County Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page.
Four county races are challenged in the coming general election:
● Incumbent David Gomez (D) is facing Nicole Horn (I) and Jacob Brinkley (I) for Greenlee County Supervisor in Dist. 1
● Incumbent Richard Lunt (I) is facing Suzanne Menges (R) for Greenlee County Supervisor in Dist. 3
● Challengers JoAnn “JoJo” Cathcart (I) and Doug Reed (I) are seeking election as Assessor
● Incumbent Tim Sumner (R) is facing Larry Avila (D), Eric Ellison (I) and Jaime Aguilar (I) for Sheriff
After the candidates in the races that are challenged have spoken, candidates running unopposed will then have the opportunity to talk.
While the public may not attend the forum in person, due to physical distancing restrictions, the public may submit questions for the candidates. Questions may be submitted at greenleecountychamber@gmail.com.
