CLIFTON – Greenlee County is reporting its first case of COVID-19.
The announcement was made Sunday s part of Greenlee County’s Health and County Services’ daily update via social media.
Steve Rutherford, health director for the county, told Gila Valley Central the victim is “an adult male.” He did not specify age or community in which the man resides.
Greenlee County has tested 31 people, with 29 coming back negative and one test result still pending.
Graham County remains at two positives thus far, after the Arizona Department of Health Services mistakenly recording two negative tests as positive last Friday.
As of Friday, Graham County has tested 59, with 39 coming back negative and 11 test results still pending.
As of Monday morning, Arizona Department of Health Services is reporting 1,157 positive cases of COVID-19 in the state, with 20 deaths thus far.
Fifty-two percent of the victims have been male, and the plurality of cases – 426 – involve people age 20 to 44 years old. The next largest number of positive cases – 271 – involve people age 65 and older.
