National parks are seeing record crowds and as camping popularity skyrockets, a new report by insuranks.com outlines the most sought-after parks.
Grand Canyon National Park ranks #2 in the U.S. according to Google search data.

- Zion National Park
- Glacier National Park
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Yosemite
- Acadia National Park
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- Grand Teton National Park
- Appalachian National Scenic Trail
If you’re planning a camping trip, you’re not alone… you may need to book well in advance and start saving:
- 2 in 3 Americans plan on camping in 2023
- 1 in 4 keep their favorite camping spot a secret to prevent overcrowding
- Nearly 30% have trouble getting a spot at their desired campground (on average, Americans are booking six months in advance!)
More than two-thirds (67%) of Americans say they prefer camping in a state or national park rather than a private campground. Yellowstone National Park, Zion National Park, Glacier National Park, and Joshua Tree National Park round out America’s top picks of places to visit.
