From ancient cities to sprawling national parks, there are 1,199 World Heritage Sites dotted across the globe. But, which sites made it to the US 2024 top 10 most popular?
Betway’s new study has analyzed TikTok views, Instagram hashtags and Google search volume for over 200 of the most-visited World Heritage Sites, revealing the most popular natural sites in the US for 2024.
Key highlights from the study:
- Grand Canyon in Arizona has been crowned the second most popular natural Heritage site in the US with a huge 4,3 million monthly Google searches and over 1,2 million Instagram-tagged posts.
- Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming has been crowned the most popular natural Heritage site in the US and in the world with a huge 5 million monthly Google searches and over 2.3 million Instagram-tagged posts.
- The study also ranks the most popular cultural Heritage Sites in the world, ranking the New York Statue of Liberty in third place. With 2,344,845 Instagram-tagged posts and one million monthly Google searches.
