SAFFORD — Graham County has experienced another death as a result of COVID-19.
Graham County Health Department announced the death Monday, involving a Safford resident in the 55- to 64-years-old age range.
That brings Graham County’s total number of deaths to 26 since the start of the pandemic.
The county also saw 26 new cases over the past three days — eight each on Saturday and Sunday and 10 Monday. Eleven of the new cases are on the San Carlos Apache Tribal reservation, seven in Safford and four each in Pima and Thatcher.
Graham County’s total number of cases is 895, with 146 of the cases considered active.
Greenlee County has no new cases over the weekend, and is holding at 60. Two of the cases are considered active and there have been two deaths.
