Graham County records fourth COVID-19 death

SAFFORD — Graham County reported its fourth COVID-19 related death over the weekend.

Graham County Health Department announced the death Saturday. No age or gender data was released.

Also over the weekend, the Health Department announced 23 new cases, with 17 located in Safford, three in Thatcher, two in Pima and one on the San Carlos Apache reservation.

The county is at a total of 207, and 50 of the cases have recovered while 153 are active.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe announced an additional 31 new cases over the weekend, bringing the tribe’s total to 236 — 212 on the reservation and 24 off.

Ninety-six of the cases are active, 134 have recovered and there have been six deaths — one on the reservation and five off.

Greenlee County also reported three new cases over weekend, bringing Greenlee’s total to 33.

Twenty of the cases are active, 12 are recovered and there has been one death.
