After years of planning and preparation, the Gila Valley Samaritan Home has announced their grand opening. The Samaritan Home is a facility dedicated to providing essential services to our homeless community.
In a letter dated, August 1, 2023, the facility announced: “With immense pride and enthusiasm, we invite you all to join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 12th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, as we embark on this meaningful journey together.”
The letter states that the Gila Valley Samaritan Home’s primary mission is to extend a helping hand to those in need by offering showers and laundry services to our homeless neighbors. “We firmly believe that access to basic necessities, such as cleanliness and hygiene, is a fundamental right for every individual in our community,” the letter states. “We hope that this humble facility will not only provide relief and dignity to those struggling but also act as a symbol of compassion and unity within our community.”
In addition to their ongoing services, the Samaritan Home will be serving a warm, hearty meal to those who visit on Sundays at 4:00 PM.

During the ceremony, they will be introducing the winner of the local logo contest. They will also be serving hotdogs, chips, cookies, and bottled water to all attendees. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend. Donations are welcome and requested and will go directly towards sustaining and expanding their services to better serve those in need within our community.
