SAFFORD — The Gila Valley Leadership Network is now accepting applications for the 20th cohort of its annual civic engagement program, aimed at developing and connecting leaders across the region.
The program meets monthly and offers participants full day, behind-the-scenes access to key sectors that drive the Gila Valley community, including:
- Arts and cultural assets
- Utilities and infrastructure
- Emergency services
- Agriculture and industry
- Commerce and tourism
- Economic development
- State and local government
Through these sessions, members gain a deeper understanding of how regional systems operate and how they can contribute — whether through elected office, appointed roles or volunteer leadership.
“Being part of Gila Valley Leadership has helped me realize how much I can contribute to our community,” said Gila Valley Leadership Board Vice President Jennifer Stauffer. “I connected with new people, learned how our local systems work, and discovered new ways to lead with confidence. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make a real difference in the Gila Valley or anywhere. I will have the relationships I built through this Network for the rest of my life.”
