SAFFORD — Graham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a 42-year-old Morenci woman.
On Wednesday, July 7, at about 5;12 p.m., deputies were called to Freeman Flats, southwest of the water tower, when a body was discovered.
The victim has been identified as Tameka Alexander and her vehicle was also found in the area.
An autopsy by the Pima County Medical Examiner has been scheduled for Friday, July 9.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
GCSO was initially assisted by Safford and Thatcher Police Departments and Arizona Department of Public Safety.
