PHOENIX — For the 12th consecutive year, Freeport-McMoRan has been named one of the nation’s most community-minded companies.
On Tuesday, Points of Light announced its Civic 50 — 50 companies that demonstrate “superior corporate citizenship and showcase how companies can use their time, skills and other resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.”
In 2024, Freeport invested $211 million in communities worldwide in which the company operates, including $400,000 in grants in Graham County. Freeport also spearheads the DreamBuilder entrepreneur training program for the women of Graham and Greenlee counties, administered by the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College.
“We are deeply committed to giving our communities a voice and working in partnership to help ensure resources are invested in meaningful activities that develop long-term resilience and deliver shared value.” Tracy Bame, director of Social Responsibility for Freeport, said in a social media post.
