CLIFTON — The Greenlee Tourism Association, American Legion Lloyd Hill Post 28 and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity are teaming to help provide Greenlee residents in need with vision care.
A no cost eye clinic for those with little or no insurance will take place Saturday, Aug. 22, at the American Legion Post in Clifton.
“Two things that we’ll do are your eye health exam — especially for those that have diabetes, this is really important. So if you haven’t had your exam in a while, please come, And also those who need glasses and can’t afford them, we will do the vision testing for that and help you get glasses,” said Dr. Destin Whipple, one of the volunteer optometrists with VOSH.
The service is open to those in both Greenlee and Graham counties. Contact a local American Legion post to qualify.
