Fred Hernandez, age 71 and a lifelong resident of Safford, peacefully entered into eternal rest early Friday morning, January 6, 2017, at his residence, with his sweetheart, Ruth, and their family round about him.
Fredrico Rivera Hernandez was born March 9, 1945 in Safford, the son of Maria Rivera and Manuel R. Hernandez. He married Ruth Price December 31, 1987. To this union was joined four children. Fred will be remembered as a loving husband, father, great-grandfather, son and brother.
Fred leaves behind: his wife of 30 years, Ruth, of Safford; his daughter, Maryanne, of Tucson; three sons, Fred, Jr., and Ricardo, each of Tucson and Steve, of San Jose; his sister, Cecilia Arguijo; a brother, Manny Hernandez; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Fred was welcomed into Heaven by: his mother, Maria; his father, Manuel; and a brother, Luz Hernandez.
Private family services for Fred will be conducted at a later date.
