Fred Saiz Garcia was born to Felipe Garcia and Frances Saiz on June 11, 1939, in St. Johns, Arizona. He returned to his Father in Heaven on April 7, 2016, at the age of 76 years old.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing and left a lasting loving impression on everyone he encountered during his life. His smile to everyone he met and wonderful personality will be missed by all.
Fred is survived by: his loving daughter, Christina Garcia-Detamore (52); and sons, Fred Garcia, Jr. (50), Richard Garcia (33) and Joey Garcia (31); his grandchildren are: Adam Detamore (26), Amber Detamore (19) and Isaiah Garcia (11); his great-grandchildren are: Derek Detamore (7) and Byanca Detamore (3); with them are many more loved ones he cherished dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Fred was celebrated Monday, April 11, 2016, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by Rev. Robert Rodriguez. Committal followed in the Safford Cemetery with military honors being conferred by the Gila Valley Veterans’ Honor Guard.
