SAFFORD — The holiday season may be over, but Thriftee wants the giving to continue.

“We purchased the grand champion steer from the Graham County Fair, and we have separated it into quarters,” said Thriftee’s Richard Schroder, “and we are raffling off those four quarters.”

The Gila Valley’s hometown grocer is conducting the raffle for free.

“Thriftee is looking to support the community by (supporting) 4-H, going to the fair and getting the grand champion steer. So we do support the community,” said Thriftee’s Michelle Schroder.
