SAFFORD — The United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties announced its grant recipients for September, with eight organizations receiving funds for holiday giving campaigns.
Five nonprofits are receiving funds for holiday food baskets, with $10,000 each going to Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry, Angel’s Closet, St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Duncan Food Bank; and $7,220 going to the Clifton Food Bank.
Other holiday projects include $10,000 to Freedom Center Church for Project Luke, $6,000 to CHAP Ministries for holiday bags for hospice and seniors in home health, and $4,000 to Love Outreach Ministries to help single mothers and children at Christmas.
