Fletcher stepping down as Pima mayor

PIMA — The first meeting of 2022 for the Pima Town Council will include a number of personnel moves, including the selection of a new mayor.

C.B. Fletcher informed the town manager of his intention to step down as mayor, and the council will be tasked with selection of a new mayor for the coming year.

Fletcher did not resign his position on the council and will remain as one of the five council members.

Also on the agenda is consideration of the hiring of a town attorney, and the creation of a new position in the town, a part-time youth sports director.

The Pima Town Council will meet Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m., at Pima Town Hall.
