Expect daytime lane restrictions on US 60 north of the Salt River Canyon Sept. 27 & 28

Drivers should expect delays

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane restrictions along US 60 on Wednesday, Sept. 27, and Thursday, Sept. 28, for road maintenance.

Drivers should expect delays up to 15 minutes and plan for the following restrictions from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day:

  • US 60 will have alternating lane restrictions for east- and westbound travel in segments between mileposts 302 and 311.
  • Drivers should be prepared to stop when approaching the work zone while the restrictions are in place.
  • On-site flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone.
  • The restrictions will be lifted each day after work hours.

The restrictions are needed so crews can apply a fog seal to the road, which helps extend the life of the pavement.
