THATCHER, Ariz. – Eastern Arizona College will host Cash for College, a free scholarship and financial aid event, on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Academic Programs Building lobby on the Thatcher campus.
The event is open to high school juniors, seniors and their parents, as well as current and prospective college students. Attendees will receive information about scholarship opportunities and hands-on assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for many scholarships.
“Completing the FAFSA and an Eastern Arizona College scholarship application is the most important first step students can take toward paying for college,” said Erik Lehmann, director of Enrollment Management at Eastern Arizona College. “When students do that initial footwork, it allows us to do our part by connecting them with financial aid and scholarship opportunities that can make college more affordable.”
EAC staff will be available to help families navigate the financial aid process and identify funding opportunities. Parents are encouraged to bring 2024 IRS tax information to assist with completing the FAFSA.
