Directed by EAC theatre alum Callie Walters in her directorial debut, Almost, Maine is a charming, heartwarming, and often humorous exploration of love in its many forms. The play, set on a cold and magical Midwinter Night, follows the citizens of a small, unincorporated community as they experience the life-changing effects of love. Through a series of loosely connected vignettes, we see strangers become friends, lovers drift apart, and hearts are touched by the mystical power of the aurora borealis.
“This is a great show! It’s heartwarming, it’s funny, but most of all, it’s relatable. All humans will have some experience with love in their lifetime, good or bad. This show tells stories about real people who experience those ups and downs,” says Walters.
The play, rated PG-13 for adult themes and innuendo, offers a captivating blend of humor, magic, and sincerity, making it an engaging performance. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness a heartfelt and enchanting journey into the complexities of love.
