Former Eastern Arizona Gila Monster Men’s Basketball standout Mike James scored 20 points in a 98-80 win over Crvena Zvezda to become the EuroLeague’s all-time leading scorer on Thursday with 4,457 points, passing Vassilis Spanouilis.
James played at Eastern Arizona from 2008-2010 and was an ACCAC First-Team honoree as a freshman in 2009 and was named to the All-ACCAC Second Team as a sophomore in 2010 before moving on to play at Lamar University.
James spent time in the National Basketball Association with the Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Brooklyn Nets.
With his spot at No. 1 in the EuroLeague scoring list, James is the only American in the top-10 with Kyle Hines at 11th with 3,333 points.
