SAFFORD — A first glimpse at Christmas will help college students who find themselves a little short on food or other necessities.

Copper and Cotton Lifestyle Co. announced that ticket sales for its Nov. 3 Early Christmas Reveal event will benefit the Monster Exchange on the campus of Eastern Arizona College.

The Monster Exchange was started in 2020 to help students through the pandemic. It makes available at no cost food, clothing, toiletries and more to students who find themselves in need.

The Monster Exchange has continued on thanks to grants from United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, as well as partnerships with Basha’s, the Graham County Gleaning Project, the Gila Valley Food Coalition, Our Neighbors Farm and Pantry, The Salt House, and the Safford Lion’s Club Pow Wow.

Copper and Cotton Lifestyle Co. resets its store for the holiday season and the Early Christmas Reveal event Nov. 3, from 5-9 p.m., will give Gila Valley residents a first chance at products from nearly 80 different small business owners.

Tickets in the form of one-of-a-kind ornaments are $20 each and available at Copper and Cotton Lifestyle Co. during regular business hours.
