There’s trouble in River City! When smooth-talking con man Harold Hill arrives in a tight-knit Iowa town, he plans to swindle residents with a phony boys’ band scheme. Though he lacks any musical talent, Harold convinces parents to buy instruments and uniforms. But his plans begin to unravel when skeptical librarian Marian Paroo — and the townspeople themselves — challenge his story. As Harold grows more attached to the community and unexpectedly falls for Marian, he must choose between deception and real change.
This family-friendly production features the talented young performers of EAC’s Youth Theatre and promises an evening of music, comedy, and heart.
