EAC to host girls soccer camp July 7-8

THATCHER, Ariz. — Eastern Arizona College invites young athletes to develop their skills and passion for soccer at the 2025 Girls Soccer Camp, taking place July 7–8, at John Mickelson Stadium. The camp offers an engaging and educational opportunity for players entering grades 5 through 12.

Led by EAC’s Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Charles Long, the camp is designed to build fundamental soccer skills and promote teamwork among participants. Coach Long brings over 25 years of coaching experience at youth, collegiate, and professional levels, and is passionate about helping players improve through hands-on training and mentorship.

Sessions are split by age group:

  • Grades 5–8: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Grades 9–12: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The two-day camp will focus on:

  • Developing a love for the game
  • Building basic skills like dribbling, trapping, passing, and shooting
  • Enhancing individual and team-based techniques
