The Eastern Arizona College (EAC) Men’s Basketball team, currently 11-1 overall and riding an eight-game winning streak, is on an east coast road trip with games scheduled in Baltimore this weekend. The Gila Monsters will face Allegany College of Maryland on Friday and Baltimore City Community College on Saturday, looking to maintain their perfect 5-0 road record this season.
On the way to Baltimore, the team made a stop in Washington, D.C., where they met Congressman Juan Ciscomani, who represents Arizona’s 6th District, home to EAC. The visit included a tour of the U.S. Capitol, giving the players a chance to explore historic landmarks like the Rotunda and gain a unique perspective away from the court.
A spokesman for Ciscomani said, “It’s a privilege and an honor for Congressman Ciscomani to welcome constituents when they visit Washington. The congressman will always make time for people from the district when they come to Washington, always.”

The Gila Monsters are coming off a dominant 118-58 home win against Community Christian College, and their strong performances this season make them a tough competitor on the road. This trip is both a continuation of their season’s momentum and an opportunity for team growth, blending competition with experiences outside of basketball.
EAC will be in action on January 2nd at home against Harry S. Truman College from Chicago for a 7:30pm tipoff.
