EAC is now offering iO2 app development classes

THATCHER, AZ—The demand for iOS developers continues to grow. In the most recent release Apple sold 10 million iPhones in the first 3 days of its release and close to 100 million in just the first three months. This makes iOS app development one of the most highly sought after skills in the digital economy.
This fall, Eastern Arizona College will be offering a new course designed to teach students how develop their own apps. Introduction to iOS Development, section #0797, is a three-credit class that will be offered from Noon-1:40 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“We will us XCode and the Swift programming language to create iOS applications suitable for iPhone and iPads,” says the class instructor, Lydia Mata.

“The course will begin with introductory topics such as requirements for publishing applications to the Apple App Store, getting to know the XCode environment, and beginning programming skills. The course will take students from beginning concepts through creating full iOS applications and learning how to publish those application to the Apple App Store.”
Students for the course are not required to own their own MAC book, iPhone, or iPad. EAC has MAC Books and iPads for students to use, if needed.
