THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College is offering prospective students a chance to get first-hand information about its industrial training programs.
The Industrial Tech Division will hold an open house Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 6-8 p.m.
“We’d love you to come through and tour the building,” said Doug Griffin, Industrial Tech Division chair. “All the instructors will be there; you can ask questions. Bring people that might be interested. If you want your kid to learn something that’s new and different, that they might be interested in, please come down.”
Industrial Tech includes a number of programs, including automotive, woodworking, welding, electrical, machining, drafting as well as the college’s two newest programs starting this spring semester — HVAC-R and CDL.
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Commercial Drivers License are both one-semester certificate programs that will enable students to apply for work following the end of the spring semester.
