THATCHER — The Eastern Arizona College Campus Police Department will conduct a multiagency incident drill on Tuesday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the Thatcher Campus Alumni Library. To accommodate this drill, intermittent roadway closures will take place on College Avenue between 4th Street and Church Street during this time.

The drill is intended to simulate a scenario involving a threat which will have occurred on campus. However, the specific circumstances have not been released to make it seem as real as possible.

“It is critically important for local agencies to work and train together in preparation for complex situations,” said Lance Lines, EAC police officer. “We are grateful that area agencies are coming together to help keep our communities safe.”

Participating agencies include:  AirEvac, Eastern Arizona College EMS, Eastern Arizona College Police Department, Graham County Sheriff’s Department, Lifeline, LifeNet, Pima Fire and Rescue, Pima Police Department, Safford Police Department, and Thatcher Police Department.

For more information on this incident drill, contact EAC Campus Police Officer Lance Lines at lance.lines@eac.edu or (928) 428-8240.
