Driver who rear-ended farm tractor has died

THATCHER — The person injured in a two-vehicle collision between a passenger vehicle and a farm tractor last week has died.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said the collision occurred on U.S. Highway 70 at milepost 335, near Palmer Lane, on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at about 3:33 p.m.

A pickup truck traveling eastbound impacted with the rear of an eastbound farm tractor, causing the driver of the pickup to be ejected from the vehicle.

The injured driver was flown to a hospital in Tucson for treatment of life-threatening injuries, before succumbing to those injuries on Nov. 7.

Identity of the deceased has not yet been made available.
