Doxo report: Safford costs below national average

SAFFORD — A new report from Doxo Insights found that common household bills in Safford are about 24 percent lower than the national average.

Safford residents pay an average of $1,518 per month on 10 bills, including mortgage/rent, auto loans and auto insurance, health and life insurance, utilities, cable/satellite, mobile phone, and home security.

Mortgage payments and rents had the biggest differences compared to the national average, with mortgage payments in Safford on average about 42 percent less, and average rent about 31 percent less.

The national average for those 10 items is $2,003 per month, while the Arizona average is $1,936.

Douglas has the lowest average cost in Arizona, at $1,319, while Paradise Valley is highest at $3,488.
