Burton Douglas Day, age 64, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 in Springerville.
Doug was born December 14, 1950 in Morenci, the son of Burton and Irma Jean Williams Day. Doug was a carpenter for Freeport-McMoran, Inc. He loved the outdoors, camping and fly fishing. Doug excelled at cabinetry work and wood working and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and grandchildren. Doug was humorous; a great story teller and kind and loving.
Doug is survived by: his son, Jonathan Espinoza, of Queen Creek; a daughter-in-law, Bridgette Espinoza, of Queen Creek; his brother, Michael Day; two sisters, Pat Day and Linda Hunt; and his grandchildren, Alyshia, Ashley, Jonathan, Breanna and Jacob. Doug was preceded in death by: his mother and father; and Susan Marie Day.
Arrangements are entrusted to Vining Funeral Home.
