SAFFORD —Co-founder Rene Olivas, of Dive for Recovery, and Michael Andazola, president/CEO of Eastern Arizona Hispanic Heritage Corporation announced Wednesday a strategic partnership to launch Dive into Recovery, a scuba diving therapy program for veterans with trauma-related injuries.

Dive into Recovery aims to provide a unique and effective form of therapy to help veterans overcome the physical and psychological challenges associated with service-related traumas. The program will offer scuba diving sessions to veterans, allowing them to engage in a therapeutic activity that promotes relaxation, physical exercise, and mindfulness.

“Our program provides a safe and supportive environment for veterans to explore the healing power of scuba diving. We want to offer an alternative form of therapy to help veterans improve their physical and mental health while building camaraderie and connection with others who have shared similar experiences.” Olivas said.

The strategic partnership between Dive for Recovery and Eastern Arizona Hispanic Heritage Corporation is a testament to the commitment of both organizations to support the well-being of veterans in the community. The program will launch in the coming months, and both organizations are calling on the community to support this worthy cause.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Dive for Recovery on this important initiative. Our community has a strong tradition of supporting veterans, and we believe that Dive into Recovery will provide a valuable resource for those who have given so much in service to our country,” Andazola said.

To make Dive into Recovery a reality, both organizations seek donations from individuals and businesses in the community. No matter how small, every contribution will make a difference in the lives of veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country.
