THATCHER — The deadline to nominate the female owner of a small business in Graham, Greenlee and Gila Counties is fast approaching.

Small Business Woman of the Year nominees must have owned her business for a minimum of three years, and be an active participant in the business.

“We do ask that there is some community involvement,” said Torey Cranford with the Small business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College. “We want to see how these women use their small businesses to be involved, and to help and support our community.”

The deadline to nominate is Friday, Sept. 29, and the Small Business Woman of the Year awards will be presented Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 6-8 p.m. at The Venue on Main in downtown Safford.

To nominate, go to 2023 Small Businesswoman of the Year Nomination Form (constantcontactpages.com). A business owner may be nominated by multiple community members, and nominations may be submitted anonymously.
