SAFFORD – This Aug. 5, catch some Night Fever as the Bee Gees tribute band Bee Gees Gold transports Safford back in time with a free concert at the David M. Player Center for the Arts.
The concert is in celebration of the venue’s last bond payment, which was made in June. The construction bond was originally passed in November, 2004.
To show its appreciation to the taxpayers who made the venue possible, the Safford Unified School District is sponsoring the concert and making it free to the public. For tickets call 928-348-7070 or pick them up at the CFA between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
An acclaimed Bee Gees tribute band, Bee Gees Gold has traveled from one side of the United States to the other. John Acosta portrays Barry Gibb in his prime, and the band is purported to be the ultimate salute to the Bee Gees. Carefully detailed portrayals of the Bee Gees band has given this group a renown for wow and style. Fans and critics alike say this tribute gives the audience the look, feel and sound of the original Bee Gees from the 60s and 70s.
The school district encourages those interested to pick up tickets now so not to miss hits like Massachusetts and I started a Joke as well as disco classics Stayin’ Alive and You Should be Dancing.
