SAFFORD — Agreements between the Graham County School Superintendent and three area school districts received unanimous approval Monday.

The Graham County Board of Supervisors approved the agreements with Fort Thomas Unified School District, Thatcher Unified School District and Bonita Elementary School District to continue the Dan Hinton Accommodation School Consortium.

Dan Hinton School in Pima provides special education services in a self-contained and partially contained environment, for students with both developmental and physical disability. The districts determine a student’s placement with Dan Hinton School based on each student’s individual education plan.

Each district funds Dan Hinton School based on the number of students from the district; however, the student remains a student of the originating district.

The agreements go into effect July 1 and run for one year.
