SAFFORD — Cruizin’ is back.
The City of Safford announced Thursday that Cruizin’ Main will return to Safford’s Downtown Saturday, Aug. 3, from 8-10 p.m.
“That brings people in, even if it’s for a day,” said Mayor Richard Ortega. “Who knows? They may spend the night and that helps our hotels and our restaurants and all that.”
Drivers are encouraged to slowly drive Safford’s Main Street, showing off their vehicles to the appreciative onlookers. All types of vehicles are welcome — trucks, UTVs and motorcycles, as well as classic cars and lowriders.
And Downtown businesses are encouraged to stay open late for the large crowd.
The event is co-sponsored by the Safford Police Department, in partnership with Briscoe’s Tattoo Shop. Country music will be played throughout the Downtown courtesy of Double R Communications and Kat Kountry 94.5 FM.
