SAFFORD – Graham County Health Department released its daily update Thursday and, as of 3 p.m., the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the county remained at just two.
Meanwhile, Greenlee County Health Department’s update released at 6 p.m. Wednesday showed that county’s positive cases also holding at just one.
Graham County has seen 81 people test since the start of the pandemic, with 63 tests coming back as negative. There are currently 16 tests pending lab results.
In Greenlee County, there have been 35 people tested with 31 of those tests coming back as negative. Three tests results are still pending.
While the two areas have thus far weathered the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s influenza that’s been hitting the area hard. Both counties are seeing flu cases up 57 percent over the five-year average, with Graham reporting 408 cases of influenza thus far, while Greenlee has seen 127 cases of flu.
