SAFFORD — The Small Business Development Center at EAC has two events taking place Wednesday.
At 8 a.m., at the Safford Library Annex on Central Avenue, the SBDC is teaming with the City of Safford for a Conversation on Small Business.
The informal gathering allows entrepreneurs to speak with city officials about regulations and zoning, while SBDC officials will discuss business counseling, training and other available resources, including financing opportunities to local businesses.
Starting at 5 p.m., in the Academics Programming building on the campus of EAC, the SBDC will hold a Dreambuilder kick-off meeting.
Dreambuilder is a program to help existing female entrepreneurs and women looking to start a business develop a business plan, as well as learn the necessities of owning a business such as managing cash flow, hiring and more.
In addition, the meeting will delve into the specific needs of child care businesses and financial opportunities that exist to help. Brandi Szymanski, with Community Investment Corporation, will be on hand to answer questions about capital.
There is no cost to attend either meeting.
