SAFFORD — The Safford City-Graham County Library is bringing back an old favorite to benefit the community’s newest residents.
The 10th Community Baby Shower will be held in the Programming Room of the Safford Library on Friday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The come-and-go event will feature topics including pregnancy, childbirth, infant care, nutrition, parenting and more. And more than a dozen vendors will be there to offer a number of hands-on demonstrations, including swaddling, how to change both cloth and disposable diapers, how to know if your baby is getting enough to eat, proper bottle- and breast-feeding and more.
“Materials and resources for parents of children that are up to age 1. If you are pregnant or expecting, you are welcome to come as well. The resources still will apply,” said Library Director Victoria Silva.
Vendors providing resources, activities and parenting tips include: Graham County Health Department, Head Start, First Things First, medical providers and more.
There will also be giveaways, games and drawings for door prizes.
Admission is free.
