Safford, AZ – The City of Safford is excited to announce an open house event to discuss and gather public input for naming two new community parks. The open house will occur on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 5:30 PM in the Safford Library Meeting Room. All community members are invited to attend and participate in this unique opportunity to shape the identity of a space that will serve residents and visitors for generations to come.
The City of Safford values community engagement and seeks to ensure these new parks reflect the Safford community’s unique spirit and character. At the open house, participants will have the opportunity to view proposed design plans, suggest possible names, and discuss the vision and purpose of the park with city officials. This gathering aims to create a space that genuinely resonates with residents and fosters a sense of pride and unity within the community.
“We are thrilled to invite our residents to be part of this decision-making process,” said Safford’s Assistant City Manager, Eric Bejarano. “Naming a park is more than just selecting words; it is a way for the community to leave a lasting legacy that reflects our shared values and aspirations.”
Light refreshments will be provided, and all ages are encouraged to attend. The City of Safford is committed to enhancing public spaces and ensuring that parks continue to offer safe, enjoyable, and accessible environments for all community members.
The online survey to suggest park names also remains live. Go to Naming Two New City of Safford Parks Survey to participate.
