WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani, R-Ariz., is asking for nominations for the Veteran Servant Leader Award.
“These individuals not only answered the call of duty but go above and beyond to support their neighbors and community out of love for their country,” Ciscomani wrote.
The award is for veterans who serve in their communities following an honorable discharge from military service.
To nominate a veteran, complete the submission form by clicking here, and provide all required documents, including a signed release form, the veteran’s DD214 form, and a photo.
The deadline to nominate is Sept. 25 and the nomination form may be submitted electronically or at either of Ciscomani’s district offices in Tucson or Sierra Vista.
The award is a creation of Ciscomani’s Congressional office; however, the Veterans Administration presents a Veterans Health Administration Environmental Programs Service Servant Leadership Award, the Service Roundtable in the contracting industry has been presenting a Service Leader Award since 2004, and a number of colleges across the nation present a Service Leader Award to graduating students.
