WASHINGTON, D.C. — In his weekly e-mail to constituents, U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani, R-Ariz., said the House Appropriations Committee has passed fiscal year 2027 bills that includes $42.7 million for infrastructure projects in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, including $8 million for projects in Graham and Greenlee counties.
“While these projects and funds have passed out of Committee, I will continue fighting to ensure Arizona receives the resources it deserves and that these investments create a lasting impact for families across our state as these bills continue to move through Congress and eventually the President’s desk,” Ciscomani said in his e-mail.
Funding includes:
- $3 million for the widening of 1st Avenue in Thatcher
- $2 million for modernization of the Graham County Courthouse
- $1.76 million for East Avenue flood mitigation and pedestrian safety in Duncan
- $650,000 for the purchase of up-to-date mammography equipment by Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center
- $650,000 educator recruitment and infrastructure improvements for Fort Thomas Unified School District
In fiscal year 2026, Ciscomani was able to secure $4.1 million for projects in Graham and Greenlee counties, including $1 million for a road to the new Pima High School, $1.9 million to repair and resurface Main and High streets in Duncan, and $1.2 million for new waterlines at Graham County Fairgrounds.
