Christine Gallegos Bejarano, of Safford, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, April 8, 2023, at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 55.
Christine was born in Morenci on July 5, 1967, to Barbara and Joe Gallegos of Morenci. She had two sisters, Cathy Gallegos of Safford, and Linda Burns of Washington, and one brother, Paul Loya of Morenci. After moving to Safford in 1984, she met the love of her life, Abram Bejarano. This year they would have celebrated 39 years of marriage.
Together, Christine and Abe had: five children, Abe Bejarano II, Charlene (Brian) Snow, Jessica Bejarano, Greg Bejarano, and Jennifer Bejarano (Mark Chavez); and she had six grandchildren, Jordan Romero, Jessel Fernandez, Luke Snow, Anaya Gaxiola, Destinee Sanchez, and Isiah Esiquio Trujillo.
Chris loved so many things in life, but her heart was always with her grandchildren. She helped raise all of them. She taught them how to garden, sing, (Jeremiah was a bullfrog) and dance to oldies. Toots was her special girl! She has a special love for her grandpup, Nash, who was double her size, but she still treated like a baby, lol. She will be greatly missed by many.
A rosary and prayers will be offered Friday morning, April 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Christine will be celebrated Friday, April 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by Rev. Nicodemus Shaghel. Committal will follow at the Safford Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her father, Joe Gallegos. She will be welcomed into heaven by: her grandson Isiah, and her father.
