MORENCI — A child was rescued from a near-drowning incident in the Morenci Community Center pool.
The incident occurred Saturday. Greenlee County Emergency Medical Services, Greenlee County Sheriff’s deputies and Clifton Police assisted in the rescue and the child was transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Townsite officials said the child was later flown to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for observation.
Age of the child was not disclosed.
