SAFFORD — Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center Foundation, in partnership with United Way, hosted on May 1 an unforgettable evening at Manor 415, in support of Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center’s  Emergency Department expansion.

The inaugural Casino Royale event was the first fund-raiser of many planned for the next three years to fund the construction of a modern ER, equipped with state-of-the-art technology at the Level 3 trauma center.

“These events are special because it brings the community together in a unique way to raise funds,” said MGRMC Foundation Board president Tyson Richins.

Guests enjoyed an exciting evening filled with a full Las Vegas-style casino provided by Arizona Casino Parties, a dinner buffet by Cristovan’s catering and the EAC Five jazz band.

About $60,000 was raised and the net proceeds will be split with the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties.

Major sponsors included Freeport-McMoRan, Tucson Pathology Associates, Hughes Custom Performance, CMI, The Mahoney Group and Sundt Construction.

In recent years, the MGRMC Foundation has helped fund:

  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab

The United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties has supported local education, health, and economic stability since 1978. In 2026, the local United Way anticipates providing more than $3 million to area nonprofit organizations.

The MGRMC Foundation invites the public to its next fund-raiser, the Enchanted Forest Gala, Sept. 19, at Manor 415 in Safford. Tickets will be available at www.mtgrahamgiving.org.
