Carol Sue (Medearis) Krutsinger

Carol Sue (Medearis) Krutsinger, a longtime resident of Safford, entered into eternal rest at home on July 20th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born at home in Oakley, Iowa on September 27, 1943, to Raymond and Mary Medearis. She grew up in the small town of Williamson, Iowa where she played basketball, loved to dance, and sing at the local hangout. Carol attended Chariton High School where she sang in the choir. In 1960 Carol and her family moved to Safford, Arizona with the love of her life, Wayne Krutsinger, and graduated from high school.

Wayne and Carol were married March 21, 1961, and ran the Lebon Park. Carol had several jobs throughout her life, but her most important role was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Carol was blessed with two sons: Kelly Wayne Krutsinger, born in September of 1965, and Kevin John Krutsinger, born in June of 1969.

Carol led a very active life, being an avid outdoors person. She loved baking with her grandkids, quilting with a passion and sewing for her family. Carol was a very accomplished seamstress.

Carol is preceded in death by: her parents, Raymond and Mary Medearis; her in-laws, Clell and Margaret Krutsinger; her beloved husband, Wayne; and her cherised son, Kevin.

Carol is survived by: her son, Kelly Krutsinger (Diane); her grandchildren, Kyle Krutsinger (Amanda), Kaylee Krutsinger (Gary); her great-granddaughters, KellyLynn Taylor, Emma and Lindsey; both of her sisters, Merilyn Wood (Jr.), Becky White (John); and her loving sister in-law, Judy Larrington (LaVern); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and her loving friends.

Private graveside services for Carol will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be considered to The Alzheimer’s Association.
