Business booming in Safford’s Downtown

SAFFORD — Economic activity in Safford’s Downtown is continuing to increase.

Following its recent re-opening, Ginaveve’s Marketplace announced it is hosting an open house Thursday, Feb. 23, from 6-8 p.m., to show off the store’s recent remodel as well as introduce customers to wine and beer option thanks to the recent acquisition of a liquor license.

Ginaveve’s had closed the entire month of January for expansion of the kitchen, coffee bar and dining areas.

On the west end of Downtown, the city’s newest business has opened its doors.

Fancy Pizzeria, in the old dry cleaning building on 8th Avenue, had its soft opening Monday, and is serving customer for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner from 4-8 p.m.

Fancy Pizzeria is offering pizza, three pastas — bacon pea Alfredo, veggie primavera and Bolognese — salads and sandwiches, including Italian sausage, caprese, chicken parmigiana and an Italian cold cut.
